Jacinto Marques de Oliveira, Sucrs., Lda. has a Complaints Channel in accordance with Law No. 93/2021 (the law transposing the European Union Directive 2019/1937 – Whistleblowing Law).
The Complaints Channel serves as an internal mechanism for the company to manage and analyze practices, actions, or events reported by internal or external agents that are in violation of national or EU legislation, in the following areas:
- Hiring practices;
- Products and/or services (compliance, safety, and consumer protection);
- Protection of privacy, personal data, and information networks/systems;
- Environmental protection and public health;
- Protection of privacy, personal data, and information networks/systems;
The complaints should include as much detail and information as possible and, when possible, be supported by documentation. Depending on the content of each report, additional elements and information about the situation may be requested.
The complaints can be reported by:
– Employees or former employees;
– Service providers;
– Suppliers and/or their employees;
– Members of statutory entities
– Interns;
– Job candidates;
To the person reporting it is guaranteed confidentiality and anonymity, until such information becomes essential for internal investigations or legal proceedings that may arise. All reports must be made with reasonable grounds and in good faith. Retaliatory actions against the whistleblower are strictly prohibited.
Procedure for Submitting a Complaint

The Follow-up Process for the complaint:
– Within 7 days: notification confirming the receipt of the report.
- Within 3 months: communication of the conclusion, justification, and, if applicable, the measures taken/adopted following the report.
- Within 15 days after the conclusion: (if requested by the reporting person) communication of the results of the actions taken.
The record of the reports will be kept for a period of 5 years or for the duration of any related legal or administrative proceedings.
